Rest and Immune System

We are worried about the external danger, and sometimes we forget that sleeping has a lot to do with our immune system.

You can't really 'boost' your immune system, but individual lifestyle decisions will make this job more manageable.
Health is on everyone's minds these days and the nagging worry about how the COVID-19 would affect us individually...

It's an anxious time for all, but we are sure supporting each other, we will go through this situation together, so we leave you two of the most critical steps to achieve optimal functioning of your immune system. As you will see, these are necessary common-sense steps, but they are vital to maintain good health and keep viruses at bay.

1. Get enough sleep.

Inadequate sleep can attract many diseases. It makes your body more susceptible to getting sick. The Guardian makes a study from last year and found that "lack of sleep impairs the ability to fight the disease of a type of lymphocyte called T-cells." Sleeping 7 to 9 hours a night increases your chances of defending yourself from the disease. While sleeping between 4 and 5 hours causes a disorder in your system, causing your defenses to drop and you are more likely to get sick.

2. Choose your bedding well.

The bed is that cozy space where each person spends much of their life - at least 49 hours a week if they sleep seven hours a night - but how hygienic is the resting place? Sleeping in a freshly made bed is always pleasant. Still, not everyone considers the materials when choosing their bedding, as there are fabrics that are more likely to accumulate and develop bacteria and viruses.

Our bed may be much dirtier than we think or see, this will cause damage to our health and harm our rest. However, some fabrics repel bacteria and mites naturally. An example would be fabrics made from bamboo fibers; this fabric has properties by nature that makes it hypoallergenic, this means that it will prevent the formation of bacteria and mites, guaranteeing a healthy environment for your rest.
